There are several manufacturers of equipment used for creating CDs.  From the small in PC "burner" to the mass production machine types.  These units can create CDs, print CDs, in bulk.  Depending on your needs, you may want to purchase the equipment or contract the work out to the experts.

If you take the time, you can go through what we did.  Eventually, through trial and error, and possibly costly mistakes, you will arrive at the same conclusion.

Depending on the amount of data, you have a variety of choices when it comes to CD media.  The standard size of CDs can hold, 650Meg, 700Meg, and now 800Megs of data.  The smaller 3 3/8" CDs can hold 180Megs of data.  The "Business" CDs are the same size as the 3 3/8" CDs with two sides cut off.  The hold 20 or 50 Meg.  You can also get a totally rectangular CD, almost the size of a business card.  They are 2 3/8" x 3 3/8" and hold 20 Meg to 50 Meg.

If you don't need the capacity of the larger sizes, you can create a pretty impressive business card sized handout that contains lots of data, for example, your entire website!   Hand that to someone boarding a plane with a laptop in tow and guess what they will be viewing.

Do you have a presentation at trade shows?  Sometimes it is difficult to get your literature into prospective client's hands.  A full size CD doesn't fit into a shirt pocket, and the scare that it might break if placed into a side suit pocket is enough to have valuable clients pass on taking a CD, pass on finding out about your business, just plain pass by your booth!  Place the small CDs in prominent view and clients will naturally ask if they are part of the handout.  It says you have prepared adequate data.  A lot of sales oriented literature goes wasted because it doesn't say much, there is no meat to it, it doesn't sell the product.  With 20 Megs of space, you can say a lot, including pictures, and even video!  Take advantage of the uniqueness of these tiny CDs before everyone else is doing it.  You will stand apart from the competition and possibly above them as well.
