There are several flavors of status line messages available. The messages are displayed at the bottom of the screen, just above the taskbar (for Windows Internet Explorer users).

| Sample 1 | One message is displayed, repeatedly. Text scrolls left from the right end of the status bar. |
| Sample 2 | One message is displayed, by flashing the message (text is written all at once). |
| Sample 3 | One message is displayed in between moving characters. The message portion does not change or move, however, to left and right of message, motion is caused by character movement. Characters can move back and forth, in only, or out only. This is used in our wireless section to suggest radio waves moving out. |
| Sample 4 | One message is displayed, repeatedly. Text characters start at far right hand side, are spread out, and move to left. The distance between characters is reduced as the text reaches the left hand side. In other words, the text collapses to the left hand side.* |
| Sample 5 | One of several messages is displayed, sequentially, one after another. Message cycle repeats at end. Text is written from left to right, starting at the far left hand side. |
| Sample 6 | Similar to method 5 except message is random. Messages may repeat or even group within the range but ultimately should be random since the message number is determined by a random number generator. Text is written from left to right, starting at the far left hand side. |
| Sample 7 | Text characters start at the far right hand side and slide to the left to build the message. The message is formed at the left one character at a time. When all characters have formed the message, the process repeats. |
| Sample 8 | Text characters start at the far right hand side. The message is formed at the left one character at a time. The process does not repeat. This is similar to Sample 7 except for the repeat but is accomplished slightly different. |
| Sample 9 | The message starts at the right hand side and scrolls left. When complete, the process repeats. This is similar to Sample 1 in that there is only one message except the message darts off faster as it disappears to the left. |
| Sample 10 | The message starts at the left hand side and types out to the right. When the message has filled the status bar area and more text needs to be shown, the text starts to scroll left so more text can be shown. When complete, the process repeats. This is similar to Sample 5 in that there is only one message except the message types out first, then darts off as it disappears to the left. |
