General Information

Taste of the Nation®, presented by American Express and Jenn-Air®, a program of Share Our Strength, is the nation's preeminent culinary benefit supporting the fight to end hunger.

Each spring, more than 10,000 individuals, from chefs and restaurateurs to public relations professionals and accountants, come together in approximately across the United States and Canada to organize one-of-a-kind culinary events.  The events, which include food and wine tastings, seated dinners, brunches and barbeques, host more than 60,000 attendees annually.

Share Our Strength (SOS) works to alleviate and prevent hunger and poverty in the United States and abroad.  By supporting food assistance, treating malnutrition and other consequences of hunger, and promoting economic independence among people in need, Share Our Strength meets immediate demands for food while investing in long-term solutions to hunger and poverty.  To meet its goals, Share Our Strength both mobilizes industries and individuals to contribute their talents to its anti-hunger efforts and creates community wealth to promote lasting change.

Since 1988, Taste of the Nation events have raised nearly $50 million, which has supported more than 450 organizations working to end hunger and poverty in the United States and abroad.
